BIOS flashing and Command.com

The instructions that I have for updating the Award BIOS in my Abit TX5 calls for having available a formatted diskette with command.com on it. Is this command.com from DOS (ie PCDOS-7) or is it the command.com from Windows 98?

Thanks for any help.

Rob

command.com is the one in your root directory. just format a diskette with the system files selected. that way you can boot from that diskette.

Just format a new disk and type sys a: at the command prompt. It will transfer all the necessary files to create a boot disk... so long as you are running Windows 98 (not Me). Oh, you can also use either command.com as well... so long as you have one, it shouldn't make a difference which one you use.
