if you were to flash the bios to a newer version is it possible to flash it back to the older version using the same method (by this i mean using a disk with the older bios revision to flash the newer installed version).

I don't want the newer version to screw up my stuff..
is this possible?

Yes!! The flash utility will ask if you want to save the old bios version, allowing you to flash back if need be.

Be sure you have correctly identified your board before downloading the BIOS version you want to flash. Before you flash it is a good practice to print a hard copy of the manufacturer's instructions for flashing, including how to recover if something goes wrong. Note the version of the old BIOS in case you want to later download that and reflash to go back to it. Flashing is easy to do and is quick. Just avoid a time when you might get a power outage. And don't flash the BIOS unless it is necessary for a good reason. Finally, remember that you'll have to reset the BIOS parameters afterwords since the flash procedure usually installs minimal default settings.
