BIOS flash failure -- what are my options?

My cousin has an A7V8X motherboard, and we flashed it to the latest BIOS using AsusUpdate. It was definitely the right BIOS.. but when it tried to verify the flash, verification failed. Hmm. We rebooted..and now it's just a black screen. The BIOS is toast.

Is this motherboard garbage now? There must be some other way to salvage it.. I can't believe that a failed flash = eternally dead motherboard. Any advice?

turn around time can be quite fast ... I sent a dead bios in last Monday, he received it Wednesday, flashed it that day and had it back to me priority mail Friday. Popped it back in and was good to go.

Not sure if it applies to your specific MB, but if not, maybe you can get some support from Asus before oursourcing the repairs.
