BIOS feature found on ??? motherboards?

Hello All,

I am seeking to replace my Abit VT6X4 motherboard that contained the VT82C694X and VT82C686A chipset. I am replacing this board because Abit and Via are not supporting it for processors above 800 MHz even though it has a 66/100/133 FSB. I will DEFINATELY miss this motherboard, because of a BIOS feature I've never seen or heard of on another motherboard.

The BIOS on the VT6X4 allows the selection of three boot options, Primary, secondary, and lastly third. Each of the option placehoolders, you can select from a variety of bootable devices including, Floppy/ZIP, LAN, CDROM, HDD0, HDD1, HDD2, HDD3, SCSI, and so on. I used this feature to mount three hard drives on the Primary Master, Primary Slave, and Secondary Slave connectors for the IDE controllers. The DVDROM drive is mounted on the Secondary Master connector.

Each of the three drives contains an operating system (Win98FE, XPpro, MD81). I boot these OSs via the BIOS because its easier than maintaining a boot manager. I did not buy this board for this feature, and discovered it almost a year after buying it. I now want a fast PC and have a problem with being limited at 800MHz because thats all the board can do under the Abit & Via support.

Thus, I am trying to find out if other Abit boards offer this feature. Does anyone know and can recommend a new board, either of the Atholon XP, or P4 variety?

There are a lot of motherboards that do that now. I'm sure that Abit almost made that standard with there boards. Just look at the on-line manuals, and see if they do.
