Bios Error.....

I just got a Gigabyte GA-7dx and I get a "Bios ROM Checksum Error" followed by it asking me to insert media (I assume floppy). When I throw in a dos boot disk, the floppy drive goes for about 20 seconds and then just stops. The computer does nothing at that point. I have tried it with 2 different power supplies (1 Enermax and 1 Antec), with and without ide cables plugged into the board, with and without a floppy plugged in and with 2 different video cards (old Cirrus PCI and a Diamond AGP). I have even reseated the memory chip....

I see all of this right after the video info comes up....before anything else becomes visible.

Here is the weird part, I have seen this before...about a week ago in the board that it is replacing...a Soyo 6vba.....

WTF???

Maybe I should go get a Dell.......jeez
