when starting up my computer, the BIOS doesn't display properly anymore. the first screen is fine (the one that gives the run down of drives installed, and the processor installed).
then the next screen that normally lists all peripherals and hardware installed is not there anymore, it's just a blank screen.
then the next screen which normally displays the two possible winxp hardware profiles to choose from-is just a blank screen as well.
the next screen which is normally has that spotted bar as windows is loading (only shown in win2k and winxp loading) doesn't display either.
finally, then screen of the winxp logo and the blue bar passing across it displays in the center of the screen just fine and everything from there is fine as well.
here's what i've tried:
-first i tried to enter BIOS setup-to no avail. the screen doesn't display, so i can't change anything in my BIOS anymore.
-secondly, i tried to uninstall winamp. the reason being, i initially was playing with a new visualization plugin called ge-force 2. i had run it at full screen a few times, but after restarting, the display problems arose. so i uninstalled winamp and told it to delete all my skins and plugins-to no avail as well.
please please help me. i don't know how to fix this, and if even re-formatting my operational hard drive is the answer. thanks.
