Bios Crash (asrock z77 extreme3)

IllogicalGlory

Senior member
I recently installed an aftermarket CPU cooler on my i5-3570k as well a sandisk 128gb extreme ii ssd. When I try to access my motherboard's bios, it crashes (a weird static bar appears on the top of the screen, and turning it off from the power button was instant, usually it has to be held down for a few seconds).

As long as I do not access the bios, there's no issue, but I would very much like to get this resolved.

Can anyone tell me what's going on?

Thanks.

Here's where it's starting to get weird. I reset the bios (and took out one of my GPUs to get to the switch), when I tried to access the bios after that, it worked fine. However, after I reinstalled my second GPU, the problem came back.

I can still access windows normally, and my CPU temps are fine (quite low, really).

What the heck?
