BIOS compatibility question ???

Can anyone tell me if the BIOS version for the ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe motherboard above the 1019 version can be used on this motherboard if it is not using the CT-479 adapter that is referred to in the description of the later versions of the BIOS for this motherboard on the ASUS website ???

Or is 1019 the latest version for motherboards that are not using that adapter. They do not say that it is excluded from the use of the higher number BIOS, but I tried 1023 and could not get it to work and I had to go back to 1019.
