BIOS/CMOS settings...

Hi, I recently posted a question in here about my Seti speeds being so slow...
Someone (sorry I can't remember your handle) mentioned my CAS2... I thought I didn't have any options to change it, but here's what I've found in my CMOS settings...
SDRAM CAS LATENCY 3T (That's the default-What I have it set at-Other option is 2T).
WR Retire Rate X-1-1-1 (Default-Other option is X-2-2-2.

Sadly to say, I'm a NetTech and have no clue as to the best settings for these 2. Maybe some of the more enlightened people here could help me with these? It'd be very much appreciated. 😱

Also, I joined TeamAnandTech yesterday...Hope to help in the race 🙂

I guess I'll try the CLI version of Seti also..
If anyone has any more help they can give, It'd be very much appreciated.

Btw, for stats, I'm "Gweedo" on the seti list...

Try setting the Latency to 2 instead of 3, and the Retire Rate to x-1-1-1 instead of 2... (Change one setting at a time, then test for stability...)

Welcome Gweedo 😀
Have a Beer 😉

BTW a good stability test is to run Unreal or Unreal Tournament for a few hours ,oh & I would think you would have a very good chance of your PC133 RAM being stable at 100MHz CAS2 etc 🙂
