Bios Bootup Error!

During the boot process I get the error
<BIOS:> BIOS Update Data Incorrect. CPUID = 00000686,. Update Not Loaded.

I just recently did a cpu swap, came from a pIII 667 to a 1ghz.
It only started when I did this. The computer boots up fine, and runs fine, but the error is annoying. Anything I can do to fix it?

Update your bios if possible. Your old bios does not recongnize the new cpu.

sounds like you need to either clear your bios by using the clear CMOS jumpers or by taking the battery out for 30 minutes


either that or look for a new bios to flash and upgrade with
