SuperMicro AT PII P6SNE II board uses 2.8 volt CPU only. Problems with 2 different S3 Video cards. Diamond Stealth 3D 2000 325 and Number Nine GXE 64 Trio. Own 3 of these MBs and they all show a problem with the video cards. Installed and used manufacturers drivers, MS drivers, and S3 drivers on 3 hard drives, (brand new install Win98, old install ME and Win98SE), but ALL failed to let me start the video card in better than 16 color 480 x 640 or it locks up the entire computer. After installing, I get video adapter problems and have to reset to 16 colors and 640x480. VERY FRUSTRATED!
Wrong solution - updated Bios off SM website, went into Bios and setup. Restarted and now get refresh failure and Display Memory Read/Write Error on all video cards and all memory(Beep Codes). Haven't tried clearing CMOS yet, but will tonight. ANY HELP or DIRECTION would be appreciated. AMI bios, 32 RAM, 1.44 floppy, IDE CDROM, PS2 mouse, and AT keyboard. Removed modem, sound card, and anything else that I thought would conflict.
