I don't seem to have any cellular connections after the update.

Try:

System Settings --> Mobile Networks (might be under 'More...', typing from memory) --> Network Mode --> Set to LTE/CDMA.

I remember when I first upgraded to ICS on my D4, it set it to 'World Mode' which theoretically should work fine in the US (being part of the world ) but didn't in my case, at least not at first.

My data connectivity is still garbage. Time to ask Verizon to make it right or lose my money.

Seems like people hold up Motorola as a role model for designing good radios, but I hear nothing but flak from Bionic and Razr owners about connection problems. :/ Even a couple of the Razr HD reviews have mentioned connection drops.

Moto generally gooses voice connectivity by using maximum RF power (check out emissions comparisons), but the Bionic/RAZR had last-gen LTE modems... Probably only so much you can do with those.

I think a lot of the problem must be in areas where reception normally isn't that great.

I have a D4, Bionic, and Thunderbolt, and haven't really experienced any 4G LTE data connectivity issues. The Thunderbolt has the worst reception, and can be a pain if the battery door isn't on perfectly, but even then most of the time it is fine.

As far as cell data is concerned, I haven't had any issues to speak of with the D4 or Bionic. My D4 does tend to drop Wifi data a lot, but that is it.

I dont know why either. My job supplied Razr was just replaced with an iphone 5 because the LTE always dropped and the battery life on the razr was horrible (due to always searching for LTE).

The strange thing is that I constantly have a 4G signal of 3-5 bars. But it's the 4G/Bars are white on the screen. When they are white it's like they are searching for permission to use the network. When those are Blue I have data. Seems like it's always blue until I try and do something and then it goes white and I lose data. Such an immense pain in the ass.

I use to get that on the last version before this .404 rollout. Been a week and it seems to be resolved.
