BIONC: SETI, SIMAP, PrimeGrid

Hey,

Does the SETI, SIMAP, or PrimeGrid teams ever show up here?

The forums seem pretty dead except for a weekly or less often stats update ...

I've been storming up the ranks and I haven't seen much of anything in the way of resistance ... are you all so stunned that you are speechless ...

Even if I were in the top ranks of this team ... I don't think I would presume that my spot was "safe" from the hordes!!!

I have yet another horde to add to the ones that are already ravaging SETI, SIMAP, and PRIMEGRID. The current hordes remain incomplete and processes are underway to remedy that situation. I looking to up the ante a whole order of magnitude or two in the near future. I've "unhidden" my computers so that others may view them ...

If you're considering any other BOINC projects, perhaps the E@H could use a little help. 😀

In a couple weeks we're gonna get passed by the "Knights Who Say Ni". 🙁

I'm doing my best to help hold 'em off, but the electric bill is starting to get annoying.

Hey,

I do a daily stats update for the F@H TeAm 😉

I think part of the problem is that there are so many projects now-a-days.

As far as a challenge goes, you would have to try a long-time established project like:

F@H ('Gravity' has 2.5 million points)

DPAD ('[TA]z' I think is top in the world)

there was you in FaD

not sure who I am forgetting 😕

Mondo, your 111 crunchers doing Seti BOINC are bringing a lot of respect to a Classic TeAm that finished 5th overall but has had its ranks diminished as many of us have spread out to other projects. I see we are currently in 20th place. We crunched Classic until the very end to insure our finish ahead of BBR which we did I'm proud to say! 😀

Right now, TeAm Enterprise is completely devoted to Rosetta but when the Death Star rises, Seti will start getting some support and we, TE, will start giving you a little competition. 😛 😉 😀

i was doing simap but last i checked theres still no work going out. so its kinda pointless.

i can start it up again and just write what i had for breakfast or something....

I wonder if any of the members of the respective BOINC teams have taken note of my progress since joining the respective teams. I'm working on getting the warp drive operational ... that may take several days. I've found a way to masquerade several identical computers as a single computer under boinc so I don't know that I would take to much stock in that 111 number. (Makes it easier to assign WORK, HOME, SCHOOL to them en masse) Heck, I don't even have a clue how many computers are actually in the hordes. I found 6 more today that I was unaware existed!

I have many untouched computers that need BOINC attention but I have not the time to set it up even though I can mass distribute the client. Paying work always takes precedence over DC. At some point, my daily averages should level off and then I can make an estimate of what kind of contender I may be. At this point, it appears that I may stabilize as a mid-level cruncher. It won't happen overnight but I will shorten the lead that some of the team members and project members have by use of "power of a magnitude" that few will be able to resist for long.

Sorry, didn't mean to sound like no one was doing anything. Hadn't seen any post lately & didn't know there wasn't any work going out.
dringdahl is keeping track of PrimeGrid too i should add.

So what did you have for breakfast? 😀

175 computers on the SIMAP page! That's quite a beautiful herd! 😀

Really??? That many??? I had no clue. Once I got past a couple dozen, I quit counting.

I've settled the hordes down with 3 projects: SETI, SIMAP, PrimeGrid
If SIMAP ever gets up and going, I think I would like to make it my primary project.

I tried Rosetta but it was too resource intensive and was causing some grief for a few of the clients. Removing it solved the problem.

Yeah ... I got a very brief "blip" of new jobs and then nothing again ...
