why is the size of the tissue surrouding the mammary glands such a powerful sexual attraction factor? I mean, subconciously we are looking for a healthy mate to reproduce with. Can we assume that during the coarse of our development humans associated with the weight of a potential mate, a fat female would mean a steady food supply to that female (in ancient days). Usually the more overweight the female, the larger the breasts. But if that is the reason, then why arnt fat women considered attractive (in american society) and why arnt females attracted to male breasts in the same way males are attracted to female brests? Male breasts increase in size in relation to the amount of body fat a male has. Therefore the theory that i stated about breasts size in relation to weight is false. Being a heterosexual male, i am attracted to the opposite sexes breasts and the larger the breasts size the better. I am totaly confused about why humans developed such a strong attraction to the size of the breasts. Is it because larger breasted women are able to nurse children better? Does the same association exists in the animal world? Does a female of a said mammal that has larger breasts more successfull at finding mates than is a female mammal that has smaller breasts? I realize that it is usually not that hard for a female mammal to find a mate, but does the female mammal with larger breasts reproduce with a more healthier male than does her counterpart?
