Though I am only 17 years old, I have been paying pretty close attention to all thats been happening lately. I'm wondering what everyone elses takes is on a biological/biochemical war coming out of all of this. I read the article on the Nuclear war, and it explained a lot of things to me. I have had my parents and other people tell me about biological warfare. I also did some research at this website, which seems to be an anthrox vaccine website, www.anthrax.osd.mil, anyways it had some interesting facts about who gets the vaccine, and one interesting thing was that only one pharmaceutical company manufactures the vaccine. If you don't know a lot about Anthrax go check it out, its a devastating disease that could wide out millions. Even with the vaccine, there is still a chance to get it, you have to be re-vaccinated every so often to keep up the tolerance. On another site I looked at, it said that inhalation anthrax is the worst of all of them. What is stopping a terrorist from putting a lightbulb full of anthrax on a subway track and leaving. That would infect 10's of thousands of people and maybe more than that. Are we prepared for this? Another threat, which I am sure there are 100's of biological threats that could happen, is smallpox. My parents were innoculated for smallpox but I wasn't because it was said to have become irradicated in the United States and a vaccine wasn't needed. If another enemy country wanted to decrease the population of American fairly quick, releasing small pox would be the way to do it. I know there are vaccines for this, but there wouldn't be enough time to get a vaccine to everyone at the right time, millions would die. This type of war is a war that we are in no shape to face. I don't know if u can understand what I have written on here, I due make a lot of run on sentences but hopefully you can get what I am getting to. Post up replies on what your take on this is and if you have any other information to post it up on here.

American is standing united, noone can take our freedom from us.

Even smallpox would be deadly, I think terrorists realize if they use this it would give the U.S. permission to retalliate with whatever means necessary, including nuclear weapons.

yes but to these terrorists it seems as though its a holy act for them. That they will be sanctioned from their god. Plus this is the first time I think that America has fought against an enemy who doesn't care for his life and will put it up if necessary. Also another thing about biological warfare is that, one the building, documents are still intact. Only living things would die. Just another note...

I consider biological warfare to be just as horrifying and devastating as nuclear warfare and it is something that I worry very much about. Just like nuclear weapons, it has the potential of causing greater secondary harm. With nuclear weapons we have radioactive fallout, and with biological weapons we have the possibility of it spreading throughout the world and decimating the population of the entire world. It makes me sick to my stomach that there are actually people (Sadam) working on this.

If we are attacked in such a manner, it is one of the few scenerios that I would consider retalliating with nuclear weapons an acceptable response.

I agree with you stormrider, if an enemy is to use biological weapons. To me a nuclear retaliation would be the best way to retaliate to the enemy.
