Bin Laden "indisputable proof" tape to be aired 11AM EST today! (12/13)

We're still hunting him down right? This doesn't change much (most Americans already think he's guilty).
I think he's guilty but Im eager to watch this-its the first publically available evidence that is supposed to clearly show his guiltyness (to my knowledge).
Im positive of the time. 16 minutes to go.

Peak of the witch hunt: Why does the public need to see this tape? it doesnt. Showing the tape on public television is just to put anger in the minds who see it, so the support on "war on terrorism" doesnt go down. And why does the public need to see this while it can not see any evidence put up against other suspected terrorists?
they say at 10PM they are doing a special about it, including reaction from the world, but again, im not sure they will re-air it in its entirety.

With all respect Czar, I think as citizens of the US we have a *right* to see this, considering we are sending our kids to war. Of course, we wouldnt be seeing it if the gov't didnt want us to, but...i still think we have a right to see it. Thats enough justification.

I guess you dont trust the UN council who saw enough evidence themselves not to protest the war even endorse it, the president of Pakestan and Tony Blair who also said the evidence is clear.
So in order for you to question Bin Laden's involvement you have to come to the conlcusion that all of these world leader are lying to their people.

The tape was probably confiscated in raid or was turned in by a disenting taliban member. It has no relevance to the "war on terrorism". Showing public evidence about suspected terrorists can destroy sensitive contacts and leads necessary in finding other terrorists.
I think the major reason for airing this tape is to pacify doubting toms such as yourself Czar. It is to provide concrete evidence that we are NOT in a witch hunt, but are in search of a villan that has been the mastermind behind the deaths of THOUSANDS of innocent people WORLDWIDE. The deaths because of Bin Laden were not collateral damage, they were DIRECT targets.

I'm trying to watch the 28/56k feed off of msnbc.com it's horrible. How does MSNBC expect people to even make anything of this? baaah. Any other sites have a quality stream that is viewable?

Witch Hunt:
An investigation carried out ostensibly to uncover subversive activities but actually used to harass and undermine those with differing views.
Thats why.
Claiming this is a witch hunt in reference to Bin Laden is about as rediculus as asking proof that Hiter knew about the Jewish enternment camps.

One other comment - it's a little pyschological theory called "closure".
The people of this country need a final proof that this was the person who did it to them. Up until this video (which I have yet to see), we have only been told that our government has sufficient evidence to prove it was OBL. We never really completely knew. Assuming this video is as legit as it is being hyped, then it provides that closure that is needed.
It really is no different than a family that has a member murdered and the murderer is never found. They never get the closure necessary to cope with the loss. They have no face to associate with it, and it makes it very hard to deal with.
I think this will actually help settle many fires, instead of stoking them.
