Billy Joel. I like Elton, too, but Bernie Taupin wrote pretty much all his good music. Gotta give the nod to the guy who writes his own stuff, not just performs it.

I think some people are too insecure about their own masculinity to pick elton john over billy joel, but john's more talented than joel imo. Both of them have almost no range in their voice anymore, but joel never had much to lose anyways.
