Someone correct me if I'm wrong here, but when you are shooting pool, it is not proper for someone to stand in your direct line of site or the pocket that you are shooting for. My roommates do it and it drives me nuts. I always try to move when people are shooting so they dont get distracted by me. AAARRRGGHHH

It has happened to me even when I wasn't in the line of site. I got popped straight in the nuts. I wasn't even playing...

if they're in the line of sight..

just hit it hard enough so the ball hits and flys off the table towards them..

i've done it.. now my friends never dare stand in the line of sight

They should have the common sense not to be there, but if they don't, just tell them, you're in the right.

<---Misses being on campus and having a good poolhall to go to. :(

It is common courtesy to move from the line of sight of the shooter. If you have an obstinate arsehole who continues to deliberately attempt to distract you it is very easy to loft the cue ball off the table to head height. They won't stand there again.

if you're playing for real, stand out of the way. if you're just playing with friends, who cares. if you do care, ask them to move.

it is propper ettiquette to stand clear of the sight lines of an opposing player when shooting stick.
the best way to deal with people who do not play propper. is to not shoot untill the offender does move.
ask them nicely to clear your view and wait till they do.

when i'm playing with friends, i could care less.. i'm just there to have a good time.. i'm not trying to whoop all their @sses or anything.. but i won't walk by another player's table, behind or in front of them until they have taken their shot
