for Ride of the Year, i would vote for Manoa Drollet at Teahupoo,
or the guy at Shipstern's Bluff.
Shane Dorian's ride is entertaining, but he wipes out at the end.
Teahupoo is a deep-water break onto a very shallow reef. about
2 years ago a very experienced surfer got the "coke bottle treatment"
there (head into hole in reef, sort of like removing a cap from one of
those old fashioned coke bottles.)
for Biggest Wave, i think the wave in France looks the biggest.
very much a judgment call.
