I think our good friend DSF is now trying to argue that Fox News was saying that while nine people were shot to death for their beliefs that it's not an attack on religious freedom.

I don't have enough facepalms for that, so I'm just going to let it be.
lol!

an attack on my faith is different than an attack on my freedom to have my faith!

ohwait....

They NEVER said it was an attack on religious freedom...they speculated that it was an attack on people of faith. You apparently can't distinguish the difference. Words have meaning my friend.

That bending over backward must be straining you.

Wow, that's PATHETIC. I didn't think even Fox News would stoop this low.
Yeah...incredibly stupid to speculate in the immediate aftermath of 9 murders that happened to occur in a church may have been anti-religious motivated. That never happens.

So your assumption is that all those times black churches have been burned down in the past... it's because white people hate Christianity? The mental gymnastics required to arrive at that conclusion should qualify you for the Olympics.

Fox News merely speculated in the immediate aftermath (when the facts weren't known) that the shooting may have been anti-religious motivated....nothing more, nothing less. Why is that is even an issue for you guys? I don't get your outrage.

Did ANY other news channel make that speculation?

So your saying they just wanted to spread fear media and pander to their base without any facts? They said exactly what you'd expect them to say.

What actually happened immediately after the shooting is that Fox News at large (i.e. a great many of their hosts and commentators) went straight to blaming the shooting on religion despite plenty of eye witness evidence of white supremacist statements, writings and photos of him with the confederate flag. None of it was difficult to find on Google.

"We don't know if anybody was targeted other than the church itself," Charleston police Chief Greg Mullen said.

Nobody knew the motivation for the killings in the immediate aftermath. Odds on favorites were race and religion. But OMG...Fox News actually speculated that religion may have been involved as well! I find the outrage over this to be quite entertaining.

We live in the era of the internet and twitter. News outlets, all news outlets, have to report on immediate speculation first, then adjust as more facts become known.

It's the reality of the times we live in.

Then why was Fox the ONLY one to make that speculation?

By that time it was widely known that witnesses said he accused them of raping our women and taking over our country, which is why no other major news sources tried to frame it as an attack on religion.

You apparently have the timeline...please link.

Edit: The shooting was about 9:00 pm on 6/17...Fox & Friends interview with E.W. Jackson was just after 6:00 am on 6/18. This was BEFORE eyewitness accounts became public. So it appears that your statement "By that time it was widely known that witnesses said he accused them of raping our women and taking over our country" is a complete fabrication on your part.

Because that's what they decided to speculate on for this story. Others decided to run other storylines.

Personally, I was on vacation out in the wilderness when this event happened, I wasn't paying any attention to any media outlet. I'm not an expert in the developing timeline of this story and the various media decisions made. Find the appropriate person to ask your question to.

I was responding solely to the comment I quoted. Media outlets speculate then investigate. It's what they do these days to keep up with the internet/twitter world we live in.

Lol...It doesn't matter if "Fox & Friends" didn't know the reason for the attack. They still would have run the narrative of what their old white christian audience wants to hear. They do what they do for ratings.

It seemed to matter to dank69 until he was caught in a bald-faced lie. Funny how that works.

It's just an autonomic reflex with DSF. He'll defend any attack on conservatives and their beliefs no matter how vile

Also, Fox is famous for starting the converstion that is troubling all of America ( in their ficked up minds) by saying "Some people say" when the only people who are thinking it are right wingers.

It,s been their MO since it's inception. But you know who will deny any of it because it'in his DNA.

Sorry, I heard about these events in the opposite order. I had no idea what time F&F was on. I still didn't see any other outlets pushing the religion angle and I could have sworn that most of those details were available pretty early.

And you'll defend liberals and their beliefs no matter how trite the criticism...the projection is strong with you.

Only the shittiest of shitty journalism would look at this hate crime, that occurred at one of the most historical black churches in the country (who has a direct history of pushing for black rights) would come away thinking this hate crime might be religiously motivated.

Your timeline:
http://m.startribune.com/nation/308538631.html

Btw, how many hate crimes have been committed in the US against Christians by a white male?

Stop watching garbage and maybe your posts will start to reflect that change;)
