Yes, it is well worth your time to listen,
as he describes how it is
and how we got there.

I watched this earlier. I think he has a point with the echo chamber "mega-media" but I think he misses the point about foreign policy. It's not the press driving it and it wouldn't be any different if more press was "independent" or "alternative". Also, he seems to be suggesting that alternative and independent media get involved in policies and discussion yet isn't that what he whines about the big boys doing? IMO the press is there to REPORT the NEWS, not further an agenda - which would be exactly what "alternative and independent" outlets would be doing.

IMO, journalists should get back to doing actual reporting instead of letting their personal politics and opinions show in their work. That would go much further in solving the "crisis" than whining about "mega-media".

Thank you for posting that.

Funny enough, while watching it, I scanned and ran across a speech by Dan Rather saying something similar, the problem with corporate media ownership consolidation, and the critical importance of protecting the internet from corporate takeover and control, which there will be increasing pressure to do.

ya know... amazing person ... you can tell the guy knows what the hell he is talking about...

Makes you wonder ... WHY can't we get a speaker and thinker like that to run for president? If we got a person like this to run I'd frigen take a year off and go out to try to drum up votes for a master mind like this...

Oh well...
