Just in case you forgot.

"Celebrating 25 years of pioneering political comedy talk shows on TV, including 15 years on his current weekly HBO series, REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER: ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL debuts this FRIDAY, OCT. 19 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO. The special looks back at highlights of Maher's irreverent run on TV, featuring archival footage from both "Real Time with Bill Maher" and "Politically Incorrect," as well as appearances by such notables as Salman Rushdie, Maureen Dowd, Billy Crystal, Larry David, Martin Short, Woody Harrelson and Barbra Streisand, among others."

"Real Time with Bill Maher" will return with a new weekly edition on FRIDAY, OCT. 26 (10:00-11:00 p.m.).

REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER has been renewed through 2020.

Politico has hailed Maher as "a pugnacious debater and a healthy corrective to the claptrap of cable news," while Variety noted, "There may not be a more eclectic guest list on all of television."

Maher headlined his first special on the network in 1989 and has starred in 11 HBO solo specials to date, including the recent "Bill Maher Live from Oklahoma." He is also an executive producer of the innovative news magazine show "VICE," which is now in its sixth season on HBO.

The executive producers of REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER are Bill Maher, Scott Carter, Sheila Griffiths, Dean Johnsen, Billy Martin; co-executive producer, Chris Kelly; producer, Matt Wood; co-producer, TJ Baldino; associate producer, Miles Leicher; director, Paul Casey.

They gotta dump Bill. He's not bringing anything worth hearing these days.

He might as well be reading the twitter feeds of smarter (and dumber) people.

It's hit or miss with Maher for me. Sometimes he has an angle where I applaud his analysis and humorous slant on it, while other times he's so lame and formulaic I just give up. Format of show still irks me regardless.

I'll probably watch. I respect that he puts his wallet where his mouth is, and that he's been fucking feels since before it was cool. Like it or not he's a part of American comedy history, and has a career that's still relevant (sorry Norm MacDonald)

I love the show. Nothing like it on TV.

I don't agree with all his views, but appreciate his zeal for calling out there bullshit left and right and willingness to engage in debate yet still be funny.

He's totally fill of shit at times, but who isn't. Much better than the typical cable news 2min segments of circle jerk.

I get tired of laughing at people who are destroying the future of unborn children. I’d much rather watch a show where corrupt politicians are followed around by crowds armed with pitch forks.

Agreed. I do like him though and he's a refreshing voice to both sides.

Still fail to see what the attraction is. <shrug>

I can't watch political TV or listen to political radio no matter who the narrator is... I abhor politics IRL... I will watch clips on YouTube once in a while.

I can't stomach Fox nor can I stand listening to any antithesis...

I have always found it very uncomfortable when I can tell I am being force fed opinion even if I agree with it...
