bill gates still computer savvy?

Yea do you guys think that bill gates is still computer savvy? It seems like all the programmers do all the work and he doesn't program at all. Do you think he knows his way around windows? If there was a problem would he have to contact MS for help? Wouldn't that be interesting.

I'm sure he's become much more of a business man than a computer geek, but I can't believe that he's forgotten everything, or that he still doesn't keep up on latest developments.

Yes of course - he has to know what direction he wants.

I listened to him speak at UW earlier this year, very interesting guy.

I even work at "his" computer science building at UW - very nice - his Commons area is so nice! haha

anyways.

I think he was smart enough to gradually take his hands out of the "soup", and hire a team of programmers. Leaving windows(programming) to one person would limit the companys vision. And besides, if Bill was still "hands on" , and came up with an idea that sucked, who would tell him so?
That is why he leaves these things to a team of programmers I would imagine.
