Windows is pretty solid, parts and their drivers are what cause the headaches I find.

hmm that... but i think most of it is dumbass users that install so much crappy software that it drags the system down to it's knees. i just cringe when i see the system tray of some people....

I hear you gopunk, I take care of a small office for a friend and some of the adware/other crap I see is scary.

Exactly. How many people who actually know what they're doing have these problems? Excluding hardware changes and software installs that requires it I never have to reboot or have my rig crash. Knock on wood of course :p

why do i have to restart every time i install a piece of software. seems archaic.

I have honestly never had a problem with windows XP - it's almost perfect ;)

Which Windows are they talking, that does include Windows ME, 9.X, etc?


There are more windows users of course the numbers will be higher than other OSes


Statics can be twisted in any way you want to be in favor or disfavor.

I have no problems at all with win xp. A lot of my friends have problems but then they skimp on the hardware and buy no name stuff.
