Bill Cosby's in trouble again

Got this in an e-mail, who knows if he actually said it but its still damn funny and damn true

Bill Cosby addressed one of the black organizations and this speech wasn't received too well. The focus was on Jessie Jackson who was on stage and standing behind Cosby as he was talking. The commentator seemed to think that Jessie didn't like what he was hearing. The media never aired the speech and little was said about it. I wonder why.

We Can't Blame White People

They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English. I can't even talk the way these people talk: 'Why you ain't,' 'Where you is', What he drive, Where he stay, Where he work, Who you.........

And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk. And then I heard the father talk. Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth. In fact you will never get any kind of job making a decent living. People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an education, and now we've got these knuckleheads walking around. The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal.

These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids. $500 sneakers for what? And they won't spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics. I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit. Where were you when he was 2? Where were you when he was 12? Where were you when he was 18 and how come you didn't know that he had a pistol? And where is the father? Or who is his father?

People putting their clothes on backward: Isn't that a sign of something gone wrong? People with their hats on backward, pants down around the crack, isn't that a sign of something? Or are you waiting for Jesus to pull his pants up?

Isn't it a sign of something when she has her dress all the way up and got all type of needles [piercing] going through her body? What part of Africa did this come from? We are not Africans. Those people are not Africans; they don't know a thing about Africa. With names like Shaniqua, Taliqua and Mohammed and all of that crap, and all of them are in jail.

Brown or black versus the Board of Education is no longer the white person's problem. We have got to take the neighborhood back.

People used to be ashamed... [Today] a woman has eight children with eight different 'husbands' -- or men or whatever you call them now. We have millionaire football players who cannot read. We have million-dollar basketball players who can't write two paragraphs. We as black folks have to do a better job. Someone working at Wal-Mart with seven kids, you are hurting us. We have to start holding each other to a higher standard.

We cannot blame the white people any longer.

You're $hitting me! No fvcking way man can ever goto the moon

He has a point, although impoverished ppl do need help and support, it is up to them to take advantage of what's available to them. (IE public schools etc.) With the government providing economic support, even poor ppl usually can afford to go to school instead of working for their family. And if they aren't working for their family or going to school, well then Cosby has a point.

Bill Cosby has always been, and always will be, the freakin' man.

Unfortunately he's also the Mickey-slipping, date raping, wife-cheating man, which to me seriously erodes whatever credibility he might ever have had to advise others on how to live their lives.

I went to a highschool where whites were severely in the minority, so I've seen what he is talking about firsthand, and its refreshing to hear cosby say what he did.

I know this quote is somewhat old, but does anyone know which came first, this quote, or the strip the boondocks, which is imo the best comic strip in papers today (tie w/ dilbert)?

If cosby had really said that it would have been covered by every media outlet.

It was do you not own a TV/Radio or interact with anyone?

Oh I think he's touchin the puddin there!

Its true, my problem is the lack of basic humanity that's not being instilled in these people. They jay walk across the street and expect you to stop, run into your car and yell at you, etc, etc.

There's nothing wrong with acting "ghetto" and there is nothing wrong with the interesting styles of clothing. Its that its the only thing they can do. And they walk into interviews wearing that stuff expecting to get a job. What's wrong with the world today...

True, but he's hilarious and isn't afraid to speak the truth. We've all f'd up.

Funny how all these accusations came out after he made his speeches blasting the hip-hop/anti-achievement culture.

Props to Cosby. I was in the park reading yesterday, and there was an African American father with his 3 boys playing BBall. I couldnt believe how much he was swearing in front of them! His youngest was about 8 years old and was dropping the F bomb as well! What an A-hole. Then about 30 mins into their game the 12ish year old got elbowed into the face (and was bleeding profusely) and the dad told him to "get off the f-ing court and clean yourself up." Knowing there was no bathroom by the park, I took the kid to my hose and got him some towels to help sop up the blood running out of his nose. I couldnt believe that the father didnt even bother to ask where I was taking his kid! SHEEZ. People these days.

That's not the case, actually, but even if it were, what would be the relevance? Are you implying the accusers were somehow paid off by the "hip hop/anti-achievement culture"?

That's incorrect (timeline).

Cosby admitted that he had sex once with Jackson's mother, Shawn Thompson Upshaw, but has denied being Jackson's father.

Cosby was in his 30s at the time of the encounter and said he did not tell his wife about the affair until about six years after it happened.

He testified that he had paid Upshaw about $100,000 over the years to help support Jackson before setting up a trust fund for Upshaw. He also admitted speaking to Jackson several times by phone and encouraging her to continue her schooling.
