At this point, Cosby has no outs (except suicide).
We also don't know the truth. Celebrities are notoriously targeted by gold diggers.
I generally have little trust in women who go into celebrities bedrooms and cry rape.
When there are multiple women coming forth and saying that they were raped, I think we can safely say that he probably did it. If it was just 1-2 women I might think differently. A lot of women have come forth, and it goes all the way back to the late 60s.

I grew up understanding that simple legal concept, innocent until proven guilty.
And that includes the highly reliable, always believable, written in stone, internet judgments.

I think a lot of people labeling the accusers as gold diggers fail to realize that the accusations started before Cosby was anything--back when he was touring college campuses in the 60s and earlier, and really wasn't known outside of a very small scene.
Also, bear in mind that such reporting was few and far between in those days, well out of sync with actual incidents.
An out for what? His career is pretty much over, and until this whole thing started most people forgot he was still alive.
Well he was supposed to have a new show coming out, plus I'm pretty sure he was still doing comedy shows all over and getting good attendance, so not totally done.

Put in a very tough position, NBC has put the breaks on its Bill Cosby comedy series. I have learned that the auspices involved in the project were told this morning that it is not going forward. It is unclear whether the axing is permanent or the project has been rolled for future development. NBC has not responded to emails seeking comment.

The move comes hours after Netflix last night announced it has shelved its Cosby standup special, slated for release next week, and as another woman came forward this morning, accusing the comedian of sexual assault, bringing the number to five.
The Cosby NBC series had been put on track for a launch in summer or fall 2015. On the show, executive produced by The Cosby Show‘s Tom Werner, Cosby was to to star as Jonathan Franklin, a patriarch of a multigenerational family who shares his many years of wit, wisdom and experience to help his daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren navigate their complicated modern lives. In light of the slew of disturbing rape accusations, it would’ve been hard for viewers to accept Cosby as a lovable family man and for NBC to sell the project to advertisers.
The network had a lot of money at stake. According to the deal, Cosby is owed a big penalty if the comedy doesn’t go to pilot. Because these are old allegations with little or no legal repercussions, the network might have to write Cosby a fat check if it kills the project. But the damage to NBC’s image — especially with parent Comcast priding itself as a family business holding strong moral values — would’ve been pricier if it opted to continue.

Jello pudding pops are a great lubricant (or so I'm told).

It's also disturbing that every accuser has told the same specific details about Cosby traveling around with a bag of pills and offering them to help the women "relax." That's pretty specific, and it makes it seem far less likely that it's just a bunch of "me too!"ers looking for attention. I'm not saying he's guilty, but it's certainly getting easier to believe he is.
Yeah, like they read it in the news or something. :hmm:
