Cosby basically broke the color line in TV (I Spy) as a black person doing a character other than a maid, driver or felon. He did quite a few kid's shows that were the only commercial kid shows as good as what was on PBS. The Cosby Show was a true classic and established him as a trusted Dad figure. Even his comedy records were always clean-and very funny. The senseless murder of his son struck many of us as if it had happened to a family friend.

The fact that he used party drugs to get his female victims totally disgusts me. It's like his entire career, and public persona, was a total lie and sham.

No more jello for me.

I doubt Nabisco knew back then. Don't punish them.

This is completely unrelated to this thread, but to lighten the P&N mood, here are two more links:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCXqbjo6cb0

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxTRCkLQxXc
It's relevant in the sense that it his statement requires context. All he admitted to is that he had 'ludes for horny people looking for a sex and drugs. As the clip shows, this isn't so uncommon. If you've seen the movie then you know that both of them got laid (can't link because there is nudity in that part).

I tend to agree.

Seems he just showed up again lately.

He seems to have a lot of knowledge about metro areas, living in that cornfield, trying to do statistics with a chalkboard apparently.

:colbert:

Your stalker behavior is quite telling. Especially when you are stalking someone who you appear to have great disdain for. Says a lot more about you, than me.

Kindly fuck off.

Hey, if I were raised in a cornfield in Iowa I'd go batshit insane too. He's just par for the course.

Ok, ok, his biological impulses got the better of him. Millions of years of evolution were at work here. Men are programmed to want to have sex with 20 year old women.

For now, the only thing proven is that he actively attempted to cheat on his wife and he actively supplied drugs to women in exchange for sex. None of this makes him a bad person, just a very horny dude responding to nature's call. The charge of drugging and raping is still unproven.

Haven't we had enough of dragging Cosby's name through the mud?

Maybe he shouldn't rape women. That is a best way to not have your name drug through the mud. Not a difficult concept to understand, although you seem to have real difficulty with it.

Maybe you shouldn't either.

If we are going with accusations are proof I figured I'd have at it. Thankfully they aren't.
Looks like he completely missed the part where bshole said "for now, the only thing proven is that he actively attempted to cheat on his wife and he actively supplied drugs to women in exchange for sex."

And now I will call you a rapist too. If you don't like me dragging your name through the mud, maybe you shouldn't rape women.

OK! Now do me!

Yeah, I missed that part in the post I was replying to....

wow, you win the defend a rapist prize of the year. how you can seriously ignore the accounts of dozens of his victims because Bill Cosby is one of your heroes is beyond me. i would ask if you have ever raped someone, but your idea of rape and consensual sex seems to be one in the same and just part of evolutionary impulses.

Let's see how many of us can accuse you of being a rapist.

RAPIST!

Well, there's one at least. Now I am going to take that thing you said about having consensual sex somewhere sometime and pretend that it was an admission of rape.

Unless you are a virgin, you are a rapist. Clearly. But then all those virgins are wanna be rapists. Everyone is a rapist in some form, especially you!

Yes, he was just a supplier. So what if many of the women didn't agree to such an arrangement beforehand or even know it was happening? That's just something he did out of the goodness of his heart! "Oh dear, someone can't handle their Quaaludes... well, better rub my junk on her and send her home in a taxi." That's just being responsible. Really we should give him a medal.

Take your pick: wannabe rapist, or rapist.

Either way... RAPIST!

For now, maybe. There's a reason his lawyer wouldn't let him answer under oath whether he had ever given such drugs to women without their knowledge and then suddenly decided Cosby should settle.

As far as dragging Cosby's name through the mud, he drug his own name into the mud so he shouldn't complain when we help him drag it around in there. I didn't want to believe it either. Hell, I gave him the benefit of the doubt so long that it took a microscope to find it. At this point it wouldn't be giving him the benefit of the doubt, it would be granting him an indulgence.

I don't know that I - hey, wait a minute! That's sarcasm!

Sad part is that he could get lots of very attractive women and do much more interesting things to them than drug them and rub his junk on them. Apparently that's his thing. I can see how that would get old to his wife pretty quickly.

This is how I look at it: one nobody accuses a famous person of rape, likely to be bullshit. 20+ people, including those who aren't nobodies, accuse a famous person of rape, damn that dude done raped a lotta people.

50. Give me 50 accusers and I will officially believe. Even one less will not cut it though. 49 is simply not convincing to me, it has to be 50. There is your bar, can you reach it?

Just so you know, we're currently sitting at 48 accusers. So barring 2 more people coming forward, it looks like you're in the clear! Cosby, not so much; every single person on Earth is now fully convinced he's a rapist. But you're good. You're only supporting someone who raped 48 people, not 50; that would be too much.

Another ATOT user: "I remember Massingbird's most famous case - the Case of the Bloody Knife. A man was found next to the murdered body. He had the knife in his hand, thirteen witnesses had seen him stab the victim, and when the police arrived, he said, "I'm glad I killed the bastard". Massingbird not only got him off, he got him knighted in the New Year Honours list, and the relatives of the deceased had to pay to have the blood washed out of his jacket."

xBiffx: You don't know the guy did it. Would everyone stop accusing him please? YOU ALL DISGUST ME!

I did love that game. Thanks for the walk down memory lane. In the end though, that's all it is, a nice story. Where is the evidence of rape in this case? Your little story has plenty, the problem is, back in reality there isn't any in this case.

We are sitting with nearly 50 accusers yet no evidence of rape exists other than he said she said. None of the witnesses managed to tell anyone about their encounters before the statute of limitations ran out. Cosby was that good, so good that he managed to pick 50 women who wouldn't make a peep.

Oh wait, there is this one that might fall within the statute of limitations:

But there is a mighty uphill battle even in this case. One being lack of evidence, as usual, and the fact that the accuser can't even remember exactly when it all took place.
