Yeah, and the date instantly comes to your mind?
So let me guess, when someone asks you how old your dad is, you instantly think of a number? Or do you recall that your dad was born on MM/DD/XXYY year and then figure it out from there? Well guess what, I am pretty sure that we all do that.
Umm, both? lol, ... what? I know my father's exact age with out even thinking about it, and his exact date of birth, again, with out even thinking about it.
If you asked me what year I took a college class, I couldnt tell you the year immediately off the top of my head. What I could do, is remember if I was a freshman, sophomore, or etc. Then calculate off of that what year I more than likely took the class.
Right because taking a college course and getting raped is totally the same. Notttttttttttt.
When asked, this woman tells you it was the night that she was on the Jimmy Carson show? Correct? Which is pretty damn precise. Assuming she was on the Carson show, would you NOT consider that a pretty memorable night? Doesn't that kind of shoot a hole in your whole thought process? Why would she even be that damn precise if she was making it up? It would be significantly easier to disprove the claims by doing so.
We all recall dates and numbers by associating them with other events. Period. Good memory or not.
Unless your life is full of events that are generally as memorable as being raped, I don't consider your logic, or her rationale to be justified. Something like a rape, where a man (or unlikely, woman) forces themselves on you, and penetrates you or does other sexual things to you against your will, is some shit you're going to remember pretty well. Sure, maybe after 30 years, one may forget the exact date, time & location of the event, but if they can't even recall the YEAR it happened in, I tend to be skeptical that their story is 100% truthful.
