I say we have a cage match election between Clinton, JFK, FDR, Lincoln, Reagan, and Waghington!

We could have a pay per view where they all go at it in a metal cage and the last two standing we get to vote for!

As fun as that sounds, is the two-party system really that deeply ingrained?

You could just choose between all of them at once...

Former President Clinton said Wednesday the political changes in Iraq, including parliamentary elections in January, will help bring stability to the region.

The Sunnis and the Shiites, the Kurds and all the various tribes can work out accommodations that will allow them to build a stable society, I think that will be good for Iraq and good for the Middle East," Clinton said at the end of a two-day visit to Denmark.

Maybe some of the democrats in here should take a page out of Clinton's book and be a bit more positive. I know most of you liberals worship him, so do as he does and admit to the fact that some good might actually come out of Iraq.

I think you're making a big (and wrong) assumption here. I, and many others, have no problem admitting that there will probably be some good to come out of Iraq, certainly getting rid of Saddam is something most of us can agree on. However, that is not the same thing as pretending it's all just great fun over there. Pointing out problems as we see them doesn't mean we think it's all bad, the world is a lot more interesting than black and white.

Sure, after bankrupting the country and getting a bunch of innocent Iraqis and a lot of American soldiers killed, yeah, it's totally worth it to get Halliburton a huge profit!

Aye, he is right, because if one thing is for certain, it is how willing people are to coming together and working out their differences.......

Maybe, but this IS an internet message board. People are a lot more likely to come on here at complain than to talk about good stuff (unless of course there is a political point to be made). Even then, it's often to complain about something else. Look at all the threads urging us to look at the good stuff in Iraq, they are more about complaining about the naysayers.

In 1998 he made it U.S. policy to depose Saddam Hussein. He never acted because the polls were against him plus he wanted to become the head of the Fascist Government that is being spread througout the world that he called the "New Way." Thus, becoming head of the U.N became one of his major focuses and how could he take action against Saddam when his friends were making billions of dollars. Clinton was not a fool.

Since we're dealing with hypotheticals...I bet if Reagan ran against Clinton, he'd win.

Hah, that crook? Fat chance! (regan)

Here's something the YABA's and sheeple could never do in this forum toward their own leadership:

I DISAGREE WITH BILL CLINTON.

You guys really need to try this. Free thinking is a wonderful thing.

ooh thats a tough one, I'm assuming it's each of them "In thier prime" Clinton and FDR are out early, neither of them were ever the athletic type. Reagan and JFK were quite scrappy in thier younger days, and would put up a hell of a fight. But my money is on Lincoln, He was a big lanky guy who grew up as a lumberjack.

If we could throw Teddy Roosevelt in there, my money would be on him hands down.

Not to completely derail the topic, but Teddy was a very sickly child, and very weak. And now back to your "It has to be Clinton's Fault because the right is so damn right" thread

Clinton was a moderate, leaning liberal.

you must be thinking of his nephew FDR, Teddy took a bullet to the chest when he was a rough rider, doctors said his extremely muscular chest is what saved him.

Sheik is right. I remember as a kid going to Sagamore Hill and going on the tour about once or twice a month. I remember them mentioning he was a sickly child. I will find a link as soon as I can.

Here's something...
Link

"Teddie, as young Roosevelt was nicknamed, was a sickly but bright boy, from a wealthy family. To improve his health, Teedie began an exercise program at the house's outdoor gymnasium that started a lifelong passion for the "strenuous life."
