Bill Belichick to get medal of freedom

Yep, stuff like this, losing his spot with his Bedminister course at the 2022 PGA Championship makes the orange menace the orange leper.

People need to show this malignant POS that no one needs nor wants him and his brand. Period.

Yeah he is a real winner and doesn’t want a participation trophy

Isn't it weird? Trump literally handing out participation trophies to seditionists and pathetic ass-suckers, and yet, we don't have the typical conservative bro complaining about this snowflake culture of participation trophies.

Nice to see he has some scruples.
I read a story on it. He was getting pressured from various directions to not participate. What he thinks and feels about this is AFAIK completely unknown. He issued a statement, that's all.

As far as Belechik's scruples go, remember the Patriots spying scandal from some years back. Deflategate too. Tom and Bill are suspect in terms of scruples.

Still can't stand his ass for that but I've softened since the Eagles beat them in the Super Bowl

However, you are right we don't really know his stance on Trump

Him & Brady keep their social/political leanings to themselves.
Honestly I think they are both big dummies that are really good at one thing and they wisely stick to that one thing.

That's why I root against both of them. I like Steve Kerr, head coach of the GS Warriors. He's outspoken, PC, and right on with social issues. His dad, a US diplomat, was assassinated oversees. It's personal with him. If any of his players protest conditions, e.g. kneel, he would vocally support them, as much as any coach I know of.

He probably would have taken the medal if no one spoke up about it beforehand, thereby making him look like a big douche if he did. He was pre-emptively struck down, but I bet he would have loved it.

That may be the first "principled" thing Belichick has ever done. Either that or he was afraid of being attacked by an unruly mob. Hopefully some amount of principle, but I’m certain a large amount of “don’t piss off my players” was sprinkled on top.

Actually, we do know. At least for the 2016 cycle, Belichick publicly called Trump a friend. Now perhaps he's disavowed that friendship since then, but that's still evidence he was friends with a corrupt charlatan in the recent past. I'm not going to guess what BB thinks, but it's obvious that this is very much a NE Patriots PR decision. Do you really think Bob Kraft would tell Bill, "yeah go to the White House and receive your medal"?

I read in article earlier today that he took a stand against mistreatment of Armenians. I don't know if he has Armenian blood, I suppose so. Those folks have had a tough time, I believe there was an epic Armenian genocide around 1920.

Brady has played golf with Trump. Belichick is known to be a friend of Trump. Same is true of Patriots owner Robert Kraft. I believe I read today that they gave a Super Bowl ring to Trump with 238 diamonds, I forget the significance of the number of diamonds.

I mean come on, plenty of people have said Trump is a charming guy to be around. Fucking Joe Scarborough said it.
Question is how about now.

Trump a charming guy to be around? What? I can't stand the guy. I find every single thing he does disgusting. Every word, every gesture, all his actions and reactions. You will never convince me that being in his presence wouldn't disgust me completely. And WTF is Joe Scarborough? Or are you just putting me on?
