You mean those packs of tools that hang out in the parking lot of Taco Johns with their crotch rockets? Posers.

Yes.....where I lived everyone tended to do so as they walked back from the bars. Seriously, they're a joke.

yeah I'm in one. I drive a 1400cc Suzuki warrior. The other people in the gang are my perants and their friends. I travel with them now and again, and they invite me to their little get togethers so I guess I'm in a biker gang.

We look hardcore (in all our leathers) but we are so far from  :)

edit: Pic of my dad's bike

In the US, biker gangs are mostly a joke. The sterotypes of the old days are all dead, with a very few exceptions.

Todays sterotypes are:
Harleys owners being middle-aged white color workers w/ a mid-life crisis or poser college students puttering around on crotch rockets and padded jackets.

you just described my dad's reasoning behind getting into biking perfectly :p

But you have to realize that biking is a ton of fun, and there are a million other reasons besides those you listed as to why you should start biking.

same as a biker gang. I guess its just what we call em in Australia

Calling it a "bikie gang" makes it sound a little queer.

A buddy of mine from NY is a member of the Hells Angels ... he's a pretty good guy & I've been to a few huge partys on my Japanese sport bike & never had any problems at all aside from some ball-breaking, however mouthing off to those guys would be an extremely bad idea ... I've seen a couple incidents in which people got beaten up severely for doing so.

I used to live around the block from a a biker gang clubhouse. Pretty nice guys. They had a garage sale once, a few ramps, bike parts, but mostly baby crap (car seats, infant clothes, cribs). One member was the biggest man I have ever seen in my life; he made his Harley look like a moped. The club's main activity seemed to be gathering at the clubhouse and setting out on the long journey to a popular biker bar about a mile away.
