56-year-old man with helmet dies.
Drunk B-Celeb Biker with suspended license will get 6 months, community service and probation...I hope not.

I hope Billy stays sober after he get outta prison.

I hope he's in prison until he dies there.

Only $15k bond...He might serve 5 years and be on probation forever.
The charge is DUI manslaughter not murder 1.

And yes I hate drunk drives and riders ;)

True, but those are legal distinctions that don't really hold up logically. He killed that person as surely as if he had put a gun to his head and intentionally pulled the trigger. Manslaughter and other less charges should be reserved for cases in which the death is really an accident. Lane was commiting several criminal acts when he killed an innocent man. That should always be treated as Murder One.

You are absolutely right. If this were my ram, the moped would have scratched my bumper. If it was you and your 600 lb motorcycle, you probably would have dented it. Oh, and got some blood higher up on my grille.

Thats like saying that you would rather be in a ford instead of a pontiac if you were hit by a train. Either way, you lose. The only difference is how far up your blood gets smeared on the cattle catcher.

The real problem is with the drivers, not the vehicles they are using.

That's really sad. I remember watching a few of his shows. You'd think that with him being a rider, he would have been extra careful to make sure there wasn't anything on the other side.

R.I.P. (I also hope everything goes okay with the guy's family. Death, especially an unpected one, is always hard.)
