I weigh about 242 so I figure that I burned approx 3500 calories on this ride which took about 2.5 hours, including the warm down.

Nice eh?

My bike is 15 years old but it still moves!!

I hope you had a comfoprtable seat or it will feel like you still have the seat rammed up your butt for the next few days.

Yes, gel seat. I also have some pretty good cork wraps on the handlebars for hand comfort.

Indeed Dave!! Lots of swampland. I biked the trace from Covington to Lacombe. Want me to call you the next time I go?

Ah a fellow biker...

I biked about 30 miles a day this past summer with a "usual" speed of 14mph (there's a lot of hills)...

Was so damn fun and exciting... I'm going to try to bike 60 miles this next summer... should be an interesting ride...

I could use the excercise big time. I gave my great bike away up in Georgia at the divorce. :(

Looks like Bikes are fairly cheap now, I will go get once. I'll PM you my numbers in case you don't have them anymore.

:)

Same here.
12" of snow here, if i wanted to sacrifice my car to the insurance gods then maybe i would try to go out, but it's not worth it.

I rode about 10 miles today.

Haven't been on the bike in a while so I didn't want to over do it.

I got a road bike and a Mtn bike DAve so you can find whatever fits into your budget. I have a nice trail behind the house that's about 2.4 miles but for more challenging riding we go to Baton Rouge where they have trails that challenge your skillz with hillz.

I swear I replied to this thread earlier (and not the post above where I said I should go for a ride - another one)... anyway, I went for a 20 mile ride earlier, after reading this post.
