I am way too much of a chicken to try anything more than a bunny hop on a bike, yet I owned a BMX bike (till it got stolen ) - size was perfect, and I always dreamed of doing bmx dirt racing/jumps.

And speaking of hops, holy shit is it just the type of bike he uses or what? That dude can get some serious height with a bunny hop with barely any speed and no assistance.

It's a trials bike. Purpose built for this kind of riding, usually with 26" wheels on a really small BMX-like frame. Grippy tires, strong brakes, really wide handlebars and usually a single gear, close to a 1:1 ratio I think. Looks like he's using some kind of fixed gear though.
