Alright guys, Im going on my second formal date with my new girlfriend tonight. My buddy said I should drive, but its only 4 blocks to her house. We're not gonna go anywhere afterwards, and we'll probably watch tv or a movie. Should I bike or drive? He said I'll look cheap if I bike, but my bike's value is equivalent to my car.

Why don't your drive, so after dinner you can take her out for dessert.

You know, she is taking a big risk inviting someone she just met online into her home.. hmm.

Why isn't walking an option? It would be less to worry about too; are you lugging your bike up into her apartment, or are you going to lock it outside? If it's worth as much as your car, I would be worried about it getting stolen while you're on your date.

considering that your first date was reading magazines for free at B&N and having her buy you a smoothie, I think you have the "looking cheap" part covered no matter what you choose at this point.

Is your bike worth a LOT to be worth as much as your (I would assume decent) car or is it worth close to nothing and your car a piece of crap?

If both bike and car are crappy, I'd go for the walking since first/second impressions mean a lot. Women are very superficial like that.

Depends on the girl and the weather.

If she is an athletic type and the weather is decent... bike it.

If she is an couch potato and weather is decent... drive it.

If she is athletic and smart and the weather is crap... drive it.

Hopefully when you get to the part where your pants come off you don't hear:

"Ahhh antman, now I get it....no actually I won't :("

I think Im go ahead and drive my car. I have to pass by Rite Aid to pick up some beer anyways, so I might as well drive. Thanks all.

While I appreciate you sharing your new found love with us, please hold off on asking semi-retarded questions. Honestly, you should ride your bike and ask her to hop on the handlebars.

Do you know if she has a nice bike of her own? If so, you might want to go riding together. From your previous post, it seems that both of two seem to have a common interest in fitness and exercise.

By the way, you should really stop asking ATOT for dating advice! Most of us aren't dating experts, so asking us stuff like this is kind of like asking for computer hardware advice in a Better Homes and Gardens forum :)

I fear this is only the beginning.

Yeah, it this keeps up, we're going to need another acronym for his dating posts! I'm recommending YAADT (for Yet Another Antman Dating Thread), but I'd like to hear other recommendations.
