my roomate's road bike has a messed up rear wheel, and i want to buy him a new one for his bday.

where can i find the cheapest 27" rear bike wheel for a road bike? i just want to get it working, nothing spectacular. aluminum's more expensive then steel, so i'd like to go cheaper. if anyone's got a site or happens to have a quote, i'd appreciate it.
