$750 when it was brand new. If it's ten years old, I agree with Jules and would ask $150 at most.

Tree fitty for this? That's insane. Like others have said - $100 - $150 tops.

So... Is his average asking price on internet completely off? 1/2 price of avg seems "reasonable"...

Not that I want to pay $325

I rode it last night and it is nice, but seems to shift out when I powered into a pedal... IT was dark though and maybe I was inbetween gears...

I usually what the closing for ebay auctions on similar items are, and if I can get it for less than that, I'm happy.

Cannondale bikes are solid, and I'd be happy paying up to $100 for just that frame, so for the whole package its definitely not a bad price.

Probably needs a tune-up and based on the age, possibly need to replace all of the cabling.

Was the bike ridden off-road a lot or just used as a commuter?

How are you planning to use it? A Mountain Bike is not what I would consider ideal for biking around town. Not sure if you are a bike enthusiast or anything, so I thought I'd mention it.
