I like it better this way. Why do you change your avatar weekly? 😉

Well I prefer it the old way, change it back! 😀

Excuse me, I haven't changed my avatar for like 3 weeks but now that you mention it 😛

You're not the boss of me. :| I'll change it back if the next time I buy a new car, you help me get a "loss leader". 😛

What's a loss leader, anyway?

A loss leader is a low priced car the dealer advertises to get people to come to the dealership... they usually only have a few, and when they're all gone, they try and sell the higher priced cars to the people who show up for the lower one. ( i think )

Kind of right...you are lucky if the advertised car is even on the lot by the time the ad hits

Yup, that's it. 😛

Of course, then there's people like my father, who manage to finagle a 2003 Honda Odyessy (fully loaded) and a 2003 Civic LX-Sport (again, loaded to the gills) for under CDN$49K all-inclusive. 😀

I'm sure that you're capable of buying your own new car using a loss leader ad, nice try though.

What car(s) do you have your eye on?

None right now, really. Gotta wait until the gf is out of grad school next spring.
Yet, for some reason, I browse the classifieds every week anyway... 🙁 😉

Loss leader is in general:

A store that offers one or two items at below cost to get people to come to the store. Often, thse stores will have extremely limited amounts (less than normal) of that item and be sold out by the time you can get there. :disgust:
