Most of their large boxes are drop shipped directly from the manufacturer. The largest things I have bought from them before are mattresses and a dresser. These came in their freight packaging.

Looks like they used Prime, too, so it should have been free to ship unless they overnighted it :)

Knowing Amazon it could be the Breaking Bag DVD set and a whole lot of padding. I bought a fishing rod once that came in a 72" TV box. It would have fit in one of those 37" USPS tubes.

Had to wager 'publicity stunt' based on the sneaking suspicion that they don't keep car-sized boxes around with the Amazon logo already printed on them. I bet that's painted on with a stencil.

(relevancy being that random warehouse workers aren't going to make a custom stencil to put a logo on a box. A box that some other worker had to order from giantfuckingboxes.com)

Damn it! Seen this on Yahoo was just going to make a thread on it.

Good luck cutting that huge as box up for the recycling bin. LOL!

Biggest thing I've ordered is a ladder. They shipped it naked.

I just picked up a Kia.

I would have preferred to have ordered it through Amazon.
