Biggest single HD

Biggest I have seen are the Fantom drives, and they are Firewire/USB types. I am not even sure if they are hard drive arrays inside or single hard drive solutions.

They got a 800G to 1.5T versions.

1TB drives should be out soon. Last I heard was 1Q 2007 although it was probably bumped to 2Q since I haven't heard any updates.

So Hitachi haven't actually released their 1TB drives yet? I know Seagate is due this summer but I thought Hitachi's were already in the market.

Arrays for sure. No native drive is USB/Firewire. They are simply SATA/PATA conversions to IDE.

Also it would be incredibly silly/poor business to release the biggest hard drive as external only.
