I played at the eagle glenn course in corona, a nice track but kind of too far out from me. Good thing we had a discount so it was only 60 bucks per person with cart

the front nine is all hilly at higher elevation, and the back nine is mostly flat. the front nine is MUCH harder than the back nine. I shot a 20 over on the front nine, and a 5 over on the back nine for a smooth 97. This is probably the craziest nine hole swing I ever had.

How did I shoot 20 over? I had like one four putt, and one five putt! that five putt resulted in a double par on a par 5! yikess!!

small pet peeve: I hate courses where after the first nine you dont return to the clubhouse. So u have to buy drinks from the cart lady and they gouge u on that!!

the first putt is close to a 40 yard putt

after the first putt I was still about 30 feet away. I had no clue where the slope would go, so I hit it straight. but it broke WAYY to the right and the slope took it.

oh well at least I played good on the back nine.

I think I shot a 50 on the front nine at Mekena on Maui and an 84 on the back nine. So that'd be a 34 shot swing. Damn  cart girls ruined my game :D:beer:

There is a course in Drumheller, Alberta, Canada like the one you described. The front nine is vanilla ... straight back and forth, traditional through the tree-lined fairways to flattish greens. The back nine starts with a cart ride straight up the side of a canyon, into the hoodoos/badlands. The 10th hole is a long and fairly straight, but if you're more than 10 yards off the fairway, your ball is down a gully, totally unretrievable :)
