Why oh why do people keep saying this?!
You do not need ATA133 to see anything over 128GB. ATA133 merely supports that natively.
There is absolutely nothing stopping any drive controller manufacturer from enabling 48bit LBA on as low as ATA33, let alone ATA133.
Just because ATA133 incorporates this feature natively does not make it impossible for any prior standard to include support for higher then the 28bit LBA commonly used that has limited us to 128GB.

There are IDE controller manufacturers that have support for 48bit LBA in ATA66/100 controllers, and I would not be at all surprised if there were ATA33 controllers that support it also. Sonnet is one such manufacturer that comes to mind that distributes 48bit LBA enabled ATA100 controller cards.

I keep thinking about built-in mobo controllers and most of them don't have a BIOS that allows 48-bit, at least yet.
