WTF, did you win the lottery?

Blowin 5k of 3 computers........ Must be nice. I can think of a few other words for it also.

Guess some kids rice, some kids smoke or snort it and some geek it. I'm option 4 none of the above. lol

Perhaps I'm option number 5: I'd geek it if I had it. ;)

Both of my computers combined don't have near the processing power, RAM, or disk space of one of his. And my 15 inch monitor on the server / parents' machine is just pitiful, though I won't complain about my 19 inch Philips CRT (it may be big and heavy, but LCDs still don't impress me in the color reproduction dept., and I do a good deal of photoshop work).

Ah well, I'm hoping to get over to Bloomington, IN in a few days to see what the IU materials management place has in the way of used computers and monitors. None of it will be as nice as that stuff, but at least I can afford it.

<-- is hoping to get an old PII or two for Linux/UNIX development, and a 2nd CRT for my main rig. :p

Oh well, sorry for the personal rant, but MrDudeMan, you are going to run a distributed computing project on these, aren't you? :)

Yeah, I guess I should add this:

WinXP - 1.4Ghz Athlon XP
Win2k - 1.0Ghz Athlon Tbird
Linux - 233Mhz PII

And even still I'll admit that it is way more than I need, it's just I have a problem saying no when a good deal comes up (the whole 233PII system was $15)

I spent 5k on 1 computer only half a year ago. Buying 1 gig of DDR 333 cas2.5 ram was expensive. So was the a04.
