Anybody else? Qualifications are:

Asking for advice and not taking it (extremely entertaining because of the perpetual train wreck factor).

Advocating some of the most moronic behavior imaginable.
I'll second.

Man, the self-righteous anger in this thread has reached impressive levels. Carry on.

Before directing above mentioned anger at me please note that I do not personally drive drunk, nor do I condone it.

Not driving drunk makes us self-righteous? Okay then..😕

Home with the family so options were limited. Don't really keep up with high school friends so I went with the one I still talk to, to a local bar. was ok...Ive seen it worse.

Exactly. I dont know how many times i have tried to explain this to the thick skulled.

So drink at home. Do not go out and endanger other people. Yes I do drink, but I have backup sober drivers or I drink at my house.

(MODS If you are going to ban me then do it because the only words that I can use to describe people like this guy are not very nice.)

People like you are stupid shit for brains, jackass, wasted sperm, assholes that could kill other people just bacause you want to get drunk and drive. You fucking worthless pig fucking piece of shit.

Yes well while we appreciate your anger you can kill someone anytime you get in a car. The actual risk of drinking and driving and killing someone is statistically extremely low.

What the hell are you talking about? People under the age of 25 get in a drunk driving related collision once every 15 minutes on average. Mind you that was a few years ago but I doubt it's gone up too much. You're an idiot.

I only read the first page of this thread and I didn't see where the OP said he was planning on driving drunk.

Add that to the fact that pretty much everyone has, at least once, driven drunk or in some way seriously impaired whether that be too much cold medicine, not enough sleep, etc.. One is just as bad as the other.

He is not. However, he is blatantly endorsing it by listing where he thinks officers will be. And:

Hmmm, well im ready to wage a war on stupidity. Youre about to be my "shock and awe." Do you know the first thing about statistics? Politics? Urban planning? Or am i going to have to hold your hand? Proverbially of course.

And those all point to driving drunk > drinking at home ?

Why are you advocating drunken driving???

My claim is that drunk driving is a necessity given many factors. I am not prone to said factors because i live in an urban environment where taxis, subways, buses, etc are readily available. This is not the case for a very large proportion of the united states. This situation is a result of the government and its urban plan back in the 20s when the urban sprawl began (yay, for the car!). Public transportation was killed and the urban sprawl grew. Move west my good man. More land, more sprawl. More sprawl, more suburban communities. So long centralization. Now, people will drink, and they do, but the state no longer provides public transit because everyone has a car! Yay! Yay for car! People drink and with no other options they have to drive. This is the way things work if you want to drink. If you dont drink like his heinousess Canai, no problem, right?

Judging by your grammar and idiotic arguments when you're sober, I'm sure you'll get your ass beat some night and justice will be served the good old fashioned way.

In one post he said "My friend is driving" and in another he said "We're getting lit up" and when called out on it he basically said "Way to rain on our parade."

to actually answer the OP's question... my sister and her friends invited me to out out drinking with them tonight, but I just stayed home to do some last minute baking for tomorrow (baked cornbread, a cheesecake, and a sweet potato pie)

I sincerely hope they crash and live, but as paraplegics. That would be justice well served.

just as an update. The shit was crazy tonight I've never seen that many people out ever. cops everywhere etc...

My ride met a girl and took her home. I called my underage sister for a ride she picked me up. I havent heard anyone has been killed in new haven county tonight or anywhere in connecticut for that matter. correct me if I'm wrong.

it seems like it might have been the biggest bar night, with all the Michigan vehicles taking up the parking spots on the parking deck :|

what part of "HOTEL PATRONS NO PARKING PAST THIS POINT" is hard to understand? 😕

maybe one of those little American honies in the hotel across the way will give me a peep show from my office window 😉

I would just like to point out your understanding of the statistics is fail.

first of all lets sstart with 17000 alcohol related fatal accidents per year(http://www.fpdct.com/press_releases.htm).

Now this fact bares some interesting information in it.

1)Do the math, that would make it once every 30 minutes not every 15 minutes.

However this is also misleading because alcohol related doesn't mean alcohol played a factor in the accident. A person who had a BAC .02 at the time of a crash would not be Drunk by any standard nor would their driving be impacted. But statistically they would still count toward this statistic of being alcohol related. Another example is if a sober driver kills someone in a car who was BAC .02 that will also be alcohol related even though it was the sober drivers fault.

2) 17000 deaths but of how many trips where the driver had BAC high enough to register on a breathalyzer? We can only estimate this but lets say conservatively half the population drinks thats what.....150,000,000 people. Now lets say out of those 150 mil....5% drink and then drive 1 time per month(super conservative). That would be 7,500,000 x 12 = 90 million trips.

90 million trips / 17000 = 1 in 5,294 drinking and driving trips

Now these odds become even less when you factor in that most (> 50%) of these trips are by people who have had only a handful of drinks throughout the night and can operate the vehicle safely.

In conclusion at the end of the day unless you are totally shit housed and swerving and all that jazz the odds of you killing yourself or someone else are SLIM.
