bigger case = less noise??

I am currently using a supercase mid tower... the metal is kind of cheap inside the case. and its very noisy!
I have a full tower inwin case I could use(its ugly though). Would there be less noise coming from a larger case? I would be using same powersupply and everything.
 
I think it would depend on the fans and how much a case would vibrate. Maybe the sound will dampen over a larger object?
 
Larger cases are usually sturdier and vibrate less, so probably the noise would be redused using that one. You can also sound isolate the small case. I have used corrugated cardboard from a box that was lying around.
 
More plastic between you and what's inside the case means less noise. That's why the reviews of the Fong Kai 603 marvel over how silent it is.
 
Or you could pad the inside of your case with cheap carpeting. Ive heard that recommended over car insulation, as it's cheaper and equally effective. That could also save you from switching cases.
