i've always read that eating a bigger breakfast in the morning prevents you from eating much the rest of the day but it also boosts your metabolism so... i don't know, when i eat oatmeal in the morning i eat less throughout the day but when i eat a big breakfast, like this morning, i've been hungry all damn day.

i could post this in health & fitness but seeing how it's a poll i figure i'll get more responses here.

I know if I don't eat breakfast I feel like crap all morning and by lunch time I am starving. I seem to eat double what I normally would. When I do have breakfast I don't seem to get hungry until around 1PM or so and I end up eating a small lunch at that time. Everyone's body is different in that regard though.

When I don't eat breakfast, I don't get hungry as quickly as when I do. By 10am-12pm, I'm definitely hungrier if I had breakfast that morning. I think the food helps "wake up" your body's metabolism and hence you get hungrier faster if you eat breakfast. But I think Pale is right in that everybody is different..

I get results similar to that. It seems that no matter how big my breakfast is, I still get hungry at the same time later in the day.

I rarely if ever eat breakfasts that big, but I pretty much have to have something. Its usually only turkey sausage and a couple (or three) eggs. Or maybe a banana + something.

My typical breakfast is a protein shake I have after working out. I eat a bigger breakfast once a month (company breakfast) which is usually eggs, bacon and sausage, fruit, some kind of pastry, etc.. those are the days I don't eat lunch. It's not like I stuff my face with a big breakfast every day.

I didn't mean to imply that. I'd do the same as you if I had a company provided breakfast. Saves some $$$. I need to have more shakes in the morning like that, personally.

Stay consistent with your breakfast, and with the time you eat lunch.

If you never get full, you never get hungry. So don't gorge yourself at any meal.
