Big + Wide wires bad for computer?

I am buidling my new computer currently. I have realized that the IDE cables that connect the CD-rom/HDD/floppy, are very wide. Will this be very bad for my case if i just leave it hanging? And what should i do to get these "organised".

Here are the computer's specs:

Asus a7n8x-e deluxe motherboard
AMD Barton 2800+
Corsair 512MB pc-3200 RAM
ATI Radeon 9600LE 256mb
ThermalTake Volcano 12+ heatsink+fan
Lite-on cd-rw/dvd-rom
Sony floppy drive
Western Digital 80GB w/8mb cache
1 80mm fan on side (stock)
1 80mm fan on top (stock)
1 120mm fan in back soon to come (needed?)
Aspire X-Dreamer case

just buy some cheap round IDE cables or make your own. if you want to save some money, just goto a hardware store and buy a bag of 3/8" wire loom and zip ties and just wrap up your cables. since computer fans are relatively weak, a cluster of wires will hinder the air flow dramatically. the guide here shows how to quickly and easily make some round cables as an alternative to buying all new ones.

but with costs coming down a lot for round cables, you might wanna buy some instead and even get some nicely colored or uv reactive ones. hth.

yea i would use the 120mm fan. it's not often cases come with 120mm fan holes, take advtange of it. but don't get some super high RPM high flow fan. just get a nice, low noise, low rpm fan does moves about 40-50cfm and thats more than enough. if you suck away too much air it will be hard for the heatsink fan to draw air to the heatsink because of all the turbulence. but with the right airflow, the exhaust fan will help vent out the air that comes off the heatsink. without that fan, the air will just heatup your psu possibly causing other problems in the future.

Ok thanks. one more question, with if i get the UV reactive IDE cables, what triggers them to "glow" ? thx

well, hopefully u can find a place locally that sells for about the same price. yea shipping really kills the deal for most items especially when you only really want one thing.
