Big turnout for Lockheed in my area: US101 job fair draws thousands

By the time the approximately seven-hour event was over, about 2,500 people from across the Southern Tier -- and from as far away as New Jersey and Connecticut -- had applied for jobs at Lockheed Martin Systems Integration-Owego. Applicants waited -- in many instances, for 45 minutes -- in a queue that snaked from the hotel lobby, through two hallways and into a ballroom, where Lockheed staff members were accepting resumes and screening applicants.
