The pins on the back of the subwoofer are either bent or missing and now my controls center won't boot up. is there anyway I can replace just the connection or did I make a $200 mistake?

bumpage

I have the same speaker setup, and looking at the back of mine, it appears that the pins are located on a removable faceplate. Maybe take that apart and see if there's a quick-connect behind it. Otherwise, maybe take it to a local electronics shop and see if they can assist.

Or call Logitech. They are uber helpful. They replaced my 5500s even when they were out of warranty! I mean totally replaced. All I had to do was send my old control center in and about 3 days later came a whole new set of Z5500's......try calling it's worth a shot.

And FWIW I blew out my subwoofer as in it caught on fire and they still were like, it's cool no worries have new speakers.

Dang, that's support all right. Maybe I should crank mine up a little more often!

But trust me, watching your subwoofer pop and then catch fire isnt so cool. Plus it was in my dorm room at the time. With lots of carpet and cheap wood. Luckily I had a glass of water right there 😛

Same happened to me but with z680's. I've got nothing but good things to say about Logitech Support.

Oh, and my sub didn't flame up 🙂. It just "died".

yea when you buy logitech products, you also get one of the best warranty-replacements programs. they are insanely helpful.

They probably gave you a new one so you would keep quiet about it. You should sue their ass.

I bet if you call them up and then explain what is wrong, then they will replace it. Logitech has never let me down!
