I just got this processor (used to have a celery 450a). I flashed my BIOS with the latest update. Put the CPU in. I can get it to boot at 333mhz (fsb: 66mhz) and 500mhz (fsb: 100mhz) but not at 667mhz. I don't get it. My RAM is PC100, but it is CAS 2, so i dropped it down to CAS 3 and am trying it at 133 mhz. My system will post at 667mhz, the computer shows that I have a pentium III 667 mhz, then it shows my RAM (all fine), it detects my HD and CD-ROM drive, but then it says: CPU not workable, press delete to enter setup. This happens at all FSB speeds other than 66 and 100 (ex: 112, 117, 124). Any suggestions would be most welcome.
